OpenScan is the Apunix software package for controlling any of Apunix's monochrome, grayscale, or color scanners. It includes all of the following:

• OpenScan: Apunix's GUI for controlling an Apunix monochrome, grayscale, or color scanner. Every feature of the Apunix scanner is under your control using OpenScan's award-winning OPEN LOOK interface (Motif and CDE support coming soon), including scan resolution, scan area, bits per pixel, speckle removal, line bolding, edge extraction, mirroring, error diffusion, and gamma curves.
• The Apunix Scanner Device Driver.
• The Apunix ScanServer Daemon, which allows a scanner to be accessed by multiple workstations over the Ethernet.
• scan: a fully-featured command-line scanning utility.
• A documented and stable API for controlling the Apunix Scanner with custom applications. Source code for scan is included to provide an example of the practical use of the API.
